As we seek to cultivate a Christian community, we gather to worship the one true God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We will explore how God can be glorified through our pursuit of shalom through justice. Our Aging and Disability Advocates team will share a ministry update and our Council chair, Eric Helmholdt, will lead us in giving thanks to God for our staff. Worship teams will lead in both the sanctuary and the ARK this Sunday.

Our worship this evening will focus on the Journeys of the Apostle Paul in Greece and Turkey. We’ll be tracing Paul’s steps, not in the order he did on any of his several missionary journeys, but on the itinerary that Pastor Duane Nieuwsma, and others with him, followed in their recent trip to these lands. Note that Istanbul (in ancient Bithynia) and Cappadocia, were apparently not visited by Paul, but the Christians here are included in the address of the Apostle Peter’s first letter.
