9:30 AM Morning Worship
In this Easter season, we continue to proclaim,
Christ is Risen! He is Risen Indeed!
This Sunday, we celebrate the gift of Christian faith in the life of the Curtis family. Jeremy Curtis will make his public profession of faith. Kristen Curtis, Jeremy’s wife, will make her public profession of faith and be baptized. Their son, Henry will receive the sacrament of baptism.
We will also begin a new sermon series on the Sermon on the Mount from Matthew 5-7. This Sunday we start with The Blessings from Matthew 5:1-10. Jesus’ instructions for living the new life of the kingdom of God are on full display in the Sermon on the Mount.
We will conclude our worship with the celebration of the Lord’s Supper.
Reminder: Bring a non-perishable food item for the food distribution ministry with our friends and neighbors at Byron Village. Place it on the table in the Fellowship Room.
5:00 PM – Evening Worship
We continue our series this Sunday evening entitled The Big Ten – refreshing our understanding of the Ten Commandments as teachers of sin and rules of gratitude. We will seek to discover how the words of Jesus affect our understanding of the Law. This week we will focus on the second commandment and the words of Deuteronomy chapter 5.
“You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. 9 You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, 10 but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments.
The reflections of the Heidelberg Catechism will help inform our study.
Thank You for your Gifts, Tithes, and Offerings
Thank you for your generosity to Christ’s Church. We encourage you to prioritize your local church in your giving because the local church is the bride of Christ, and Jesus is the hope of the world. We excel in the grace of giving when we honor God with our time, our treasures, and our talents.

Pastor Bob Huisman
Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.
And over all these virtues put on love,
which binds them all together in perfect unity. Colossians 3:12-14
