9:30 AM Sunday Morning Worship
“Hurts and Hallelujahs”, Psalms 8, 29, 136
This is week two of our summer of Worship in the ARK while sanctuary renovations move ahead. We begin our new series, SummerSongs, this Sunday. SummerSongs will focus our hearts on the Bible’s book of prayer and song: The Psalms. This Sunday we turn our hearts in prayer together to our great Creator with the words of Psalm 8. We stand amazed at the Mindfulness of God as we, with God’s ancient people, ask God the question, “What is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them?”
Reminder: Bring a non-perishable food item for the food distribution ministry with our friends and neighbors at Byron Village. Place it on the table in the Fellowship Room.
9:30 PM Evening Worship
Romans: The Fifth Gospel
We continue our series through Paul’s letter to the church in Rome as we dive deep into Romans chapter 5. The theme of Romans is “righteousness” and this week we see the connection between Righteousness, Suffering, and Hope.
Summer Worship in the ARK
Our Sanctuary Renewal Project began on Monday, June 13. We will worship in the ARK from Sunday, June 19 through the end of August/beginning of September. Our staff and volunteers are making plans for our transition. If you would like to help us in the process, please call the church office (616.878.1992) or contact one of our staff members.
SummerSongs – Thank You!
This summer, our morning worship services will focus our hearts on the book of Psalms – our biblical songbook or prayer, praise, and lament. The Psalms are the favorites of many Christians. Thank you for your suggestions. We have twice as many suggestions as Sundays in the series. Some Sundays we will combine some of the suggestions if the Psalms are similar in focus e.g. lament, praise of our Creator, etc. Looking forward to digging deeper with you into the Bible’s songbook for life!
Thank You for your Gifts, Tithes, and Offerings
Thank you for your generosity to Christ’s Church. We encourage you to prioritize your local church in your giving because the local church is the bride of Christ, and Jesus is the hope of the world. We excel in the grace of giving when we honor God with our time, our treasures, and our talents.

Pastor Bob Huisman
Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.
And over all these virtues put on love,
which binds them all together in perfect unity. Colossians 3:12-14
