Message From Pastor Bob Huisman

9:30 AM Morning Worship
This Sunday, we gather to worship our Triune God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.  We continue with our series: Living the Good Life: Old Testament Wisdom and Poetry.  For a few weeks, we are exploring the books of Proverbs and Ecclesiastes.  This week, the “Teacher” in the book of Ecclesiastes challenges us with the dark and grim opening of the book, “Meaningless, meaningless! Utterly meaningless!  Everything is meaningless.”  What is the world is this doing in the Bible?  How can the Holy Spirit use this kind of unsettling perspective to bring us to the place he wants us to be?

Reminder: Bring a non-perishable food item for those living with hunger or food insecurity.   Place it on the table in the Fellowship Room.

5:00 PM – Evening Worship
We return to our series on the Ten Commandments and focus our attention on the seventh commandment.  Our message is called “Healthy Sexuality” and will be founded on I Corinthians 6:18-20 and Ephesians 5:18 along with the summary truths of Heidelberg Catechism, Lord’s Day 41, Q/A 108-109.

Thank You for your Gifts, Tithes, and Offerings
Thank you for your generosity to Christ’s Church.  We encourage you to prioritize your local church in your giving because the local church is the bride of Christ, and Jesus is the hope of the world.  We excel in the grace of giving when we honor God with our time, our treasures, and our talents.

Pastor Bob Huisman
Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.
And over all these virtues put on love,
which binds them all together in perfect unity.  Colossians 3:12-14
