Message From Pastor Bob Huisman

9:30 AM Morning Worship

EQUIPPED FOR WORKS OF SERVICE
Each Sunday we gather together to worship our great God and Father, the Lord God Almighty.  This Sunday, we continue to explore Ephesians 4 and God’s call to “grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ.”  This is part two of a three-part series on Equipping the Saints.  As we engage God’s Word in Ephesians 4, we ask
“Where is the Spirit calling you to serve?” and
“Where is the Spirit calling you to maturity?”.
Elisabeth Richards, our Director of Outreach will share a ministry update with us and we will pause to begin to prepare our hearts to celebrate the Lord’s Supper next Sunday, January 21.
During our fellowship hour, you are invited to celebrate with John and Dee Bredeweg as they give thanks to God for their 60th wedding anniversary (January 14).  John and Dee are providing cake for all of us!

Reminder: Bring a non-perishable food item for the food distribution ministry with our friends and neighbors at Byron Village.  Place it on the table in the Fellowship Room.

5:00 PM Evening Worship

THE RECIPE FOR HOPE
Our worship team and Pastor Dan Mouw will lead us praise of our great God.  Pastor Dan’s message will be from Romans 5:1-11, entitled “The Recipe for Hope”.

Thank You for your Gifts, Tithes, and Offerings
Thank you for your generosity to Christ’s Church.  We encourage you to prioritize your local church in your giving because the local church is the bride of Christ, and Jesus is the hope of the world.  We excel in the grace of giving when we honor God with our time, our treasures, and our talents.

Pastor Bob Huisman
Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.
And over all these virtues put on love,
which binds them all together in perfect unity.  Colossians 3:12-14
