Message From Pastor Bob Huisman

EQUIPPED FOR WORKS OF SERVICE
As we turn the page and move into 2024, we give God thanks and praise his holy name.  This Sunday, we explore Ephesians 4 and God’s call to unity and maturity.  We begin a three-part series on Equipping the Saints.  As we engage God’s Word in Ephesians 4, we ask “Where is the Spirit calling you to serve?” and  “Where is the Spirit calling you to maturity?”.

Reminder: Bring a non-perishable food item for the food distribution ministry with our friends and neighbors at Byron Village.  Place it on the table in the Fellowship Room.

5:00 PM Evening Worship

BENEFITS OF THE RESURRECTION
We return to our series “We Belong” and turn out focus to the resurrections of Jesus.  “How does the resurrection benefit us?” is the question asked in Lord’s Day 17 of the Heidelberg Catechism.  We will discover the answers from Romans 4 and 6 and Philippians 3.

Thank You for your Gifts, Tithes, and Offerings
Thank you for your generosity to Christ’s Church.  We encourage you to prioritize your local church in your giving because the local church is the bride of Christ, and Jesus is the hope of the world.  We excel in the grace of giving when we honor God with our time, our treasures, and our talents.

Pastor Bob Huisman
Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.
And over all these virtues put on love,
which binds them all together in perfect unity.  Colossians 3:12-14
