Message From Pastor Bob Huisman

9:30 AM Sunday Morning Worship
Following Jesus: Part 2 of 4
On the second Sunday after Easter, we explore the question, “What if Easter was True?”.  If it was, then Jesus’ Words are the words we should follow.  In Matthew 7, Jesus compares living according to his words with building your house on the rock.
We will also celebrate another year of our boy’s club ministry, Cadets.  And we will celebrate the sacrament of baptism for Lennox Jay Helmholdt, infant son of Andy and Jenn Helmholdt.  Jordy Helmholdt will bless us with her music ministry.

Reminder: Bring a non-perishable food item for the food distribution ministry with our friends and neighbors at Byron Village.  Place it on the table in the Fellowship Room.

5:00 PM – Sunday Evening Worship

I am not ______________.
We will gather to lift up the name of Jesus above every other name and to worship our great God and King.  We will explore one of our most well-loved confessional truths, Q & A 1 of the Heidelberg Catechism.  Our identity is not found in many of the things of this world that try to tell us who we are, but rather in our relationship with Jesus Christ.  I Corinthians 6:12-20 will be our guide and challenge us to think biblically about our sexuality and our sexual sins.

Thank You for your Gifts, Tithes, and Offerings
Thank you for your generosity to Christ’s Church.  We encourage you to prioritize your local church in your giving because the local church is the bride of Christ, and Jesus is the hope of the world.  We excel in the grace of giving when we honor God with our time, our treasures, and our talents.

Pastor Bob Huisman
Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.
And over all these virtues put on love,
which binds them all together in perfect unity.  Colossians 3:12-14
