Message From Pastor Bob Huisman

9:30 AM Sunday Morning Worship
The “Water Bottle” Psalm
We will gather together for fellowship and to worship our great God together.  Pastor Dan will open God’s word with us while Pastor Bob worships with his former congregation at their 75th-anniversary celebration at Immanuel CRC, Hudsonville, MI.  We will turn our hearts to God’s word in Psalm 63.  Some of our high school musicians will lead us in praise and worship and Ruth Frederick will provide a ministry update from our Prayer Encouragement Team.

11:45 – All-Church Potluck
ALL-CHURCH POTLUCK LUNCH ON JANUARY 19 – On Sunday, January 29 at 11:45 am, we are having an all-church potluck meal in the ARK.  Join us for a great time of fun, food, conversation, and spending time getting to know and connect with people from church.  Please bring a main course and a salad if you are able.  Table service, drinks, and dessert will be provided.  No need to sign up, just show up.

Reminder: Bring a non-perishable food item for the food distribution ministry with our friends and neighbors at Byron Village.  Place it on the table in the Fellowship Room.

5:00 PM – Sunday Evening Worship

Let Your Love Be Real.  We return to our study of Paul’s Letter to the Romans, “The Fifth Gospel”.  As we continue through chapter 12 we see the practical ethic of the gospel on full display…Be devoted to one another…honor one another…be patient in affliction…do not be proud…so many commands in so few verses.  Our focus will be on Chapter 12:9-16.  The Old Testament examples will be David and Jonathon.

Thank You for your Gifts, Tithes, and Offerings
Thank you for your generosity to Christ’s Church.  We encourage you to prioritize your local church in your giving because the local church is the bride of Christ, and Jesus is the hope of the world.  We excel in the grace of giving when we honor God with our time, our treasures, and our talents.

Pastor Bob Huisman
Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.
And over all these virtues put on love,
which binds them all together in perfect unity.  Colossians 3:12-14
