Message From Pastor Bob Huisman

9:30 AM Sunday Morning Worship
“In Security”
Where is the safest place in the world these days?  Psalm 91 will help us discover that answer.  We will notice the three 4’s of Psalm 91 and pursue growing our confidence in God while decreasing our cynicism.  Tim Oudbier will share an update on his journey with Melanoma and we will welcome new members, Ken and Paul Wigboldy. Our worship will conclude with a celebration of the Lord’s Supper.

Reminder: Bring a non-perishable food item for the food distribution ministry with our friends and neighbors at Byron Village.  Place it on the table in the Fellowship Room.

5:00 PM Sunday Evening Worship
While Pastor Dan recovers from his stroke, we are thankful for a couple of Heritage members who have agreed to fill in some of our preaching openings with only a few week’s notice.  This week, seminary graduate and Heritage deacon, Brad Diekema, will open God’s word with us from Psalm 119:33-40 and share a message entitled “Lord, Teach Me Your Ways”.

Thank You for your Gifts, Tithes, and Offerings
Thank you for your generosity to Christ’s Church.  We encourage you to prioritize your local church in your giving because the local church is the bride of Christ, and Jesus is the hope of the world.  We excel in the grace of giving when we honor God with our time, our treasures, and our talents.

Summer Worship in the ARK and Fellowship Room
Our Sanctuary Renewal Project began on Monday, June 13.  We will worship in the ARK from Sunday, June 19 til the middle/end of September.
Additional worship space (and coffee) is now available in the Fellowship Room.

SummerSongs – Thank You!
The conclusion of our SummerSongs series will take place next Sunday, August 28 at our 5:00 PM service with a sermon on Psalm 139.
This summer, our morning worship services will focus our hearts on the book of Psalms – our biblical songbook or prayer, praise, and lament.  The Psalms are the favorites of many Christians.  Thank you for your suggestions.  We have twice as many suggestions as Sundays in the series.  Some Sundays we will combine some of the suggestions if the Psalms are similar in focus e.g. lament, praise of our Creator, etc.  Looking forward to digging deeper with you into the Bible’s songbook for life!

Pastor Bob Huisman
Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.
And over all these virtues put on love,
which binds them all together in perfect unity.  Colossians 3:12-14
