Happy New Year!
Last week I learned that the Western Christian Church commonly says “Merry Christmas and Happy New Year”, while the Eastern Church commonly does a call and response greeting “‘Christ is born’ and ‘Glorify Him!'”. As we enter 2018, we will seek to glorify Christ our Savior in all we say and do.
Our worship team is ready to lead us in praise and honor to our great God. Pastor Kevin will open God’s word from John 12:1-3 and Matthew 13:44-46 with a message entitled “What’s It Worth”. We will celebrate the sacrament of baptism and give thanks to God for new life and His covenant promises.
At 5:00PM, Pastor Bob will lead us from Psalm 90 and with a message entitled “Enjoying God”. May God grant us the gift of enjoying Him together throughout this entire year.
My family will experience a few more Heritage “firsts” this weekend – our first time at Upward Basketball and our first time worshiping in the A.R.K. (Advancing our Redeemer’s Kingdom).
