Scripture Reading Guide

Dear Heritage Church Family,

Our church has begun a journey of Renewal through our participation with 9 other churches in the Church Renewal Lab.  There are three parts to the Renewal Journey: Listen-Imagine-Do.  Along the way, we will be listening to God through His Word, His Spirit, His Church, and our community.

The Church-wide Reading Plan calls us to listen to God through his Word and starts with the Book of Acts.  We will continue throughout the next 2 years to read through Acts, Ephesians and Colossians, the Gospel of John, Nehemiah, Old Testament texts on Justice and Mercy, and Paul’s Letter to the Romans.

which began on Sunday, September 18.

Pastor Bob Huisman
Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.
And over all these virtues put on love,
which binds them all together in perfect unity.  Colossians 3:12-14
