Dear Heritage Christian Reformed Church and Friends, January 5, 2021
Last night, our council of elders and deacons approved a motion to return to in-person worship services and all other church ministries beginning this Sunday, January 10, 2021 with the same guidelines that were in place in November, 2020.
Worship times in the sanctuary will be at 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM. Worship in the ARK will also be offered at the 9:00 AM service only. Nursery and Children’s Worship will be provided during the 9:00 AM service only. We ask that you RSVP for our worship services. We will reserve space for guests or those who were not able to sign up.
Our pre-recorded online worship gathering will be available via Facebook, YouTube, and our church website.
Sunday School and Catechism will also resume between the services from 10:15 – 10:45.
All other church activities will resume starting on January 10, including Youth Ministries, Coffee Break, GEMS, Cadets, Bible study groups, etc.
Social distancing will still be in place. We also ask that you practice “masks in motion”. As you are walking throughout the building please wear a mask. When you are seated for the service, you may choose to keep your mask in place or to remove your mask. For Sunday School, Catechism, and other groups that meet in classrooms we ask that you wear your mask the entire time as there is not sufficient space to provide proper social distancing.
If you are at high risk or not feeling well, we recommend that you worship at home for your own wellbeing and for the sake of others.
As we gather again for in person worship, let us meet one another with love and respect.
May we be a church that shows overwhelming grace, kindness, and gentleness to all.
As a Council of elders and deacons, we want to thank-you for your patience, flexibility, and prayers – they have been felt.
To God be the glory, now and forever.
Jim Oosterman, Council Chairperson, on behalf of the Heritage CRC Council
